PaisaTrips is committed to protecting your personal data. Aligned with Habeas Data (Colombia Law 1581 of 2012), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR - EU 2016/679), and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), this policy describes how we collect, use, and store your information.
1. Information We Collect
To safely manage and book your experiences, we collect:
- Buyer Details: Full name, email, phone number, country of origin, and language.
- Emergency Contact: Name, phone, and email.
- Companions: Full names and emails.
- Financial Data: PaisaTrips does not collect or store credit card numbers. All transactions are securely processed via PCI-DSS standards on independent Stripe and Wompi gateways.
2. Legal Basis and Purpose
We process your data under:
- Contract Execution: Booking management, billing, and guide assignments.
- Consent: Sending occasional promotional offers (revocable anytime).
- Legal Obligation: Tax audits and mandatory travel insurance acquisitions.
3. Storage and International Transfers
Your personal data will be securely stored on Google Firebase cloud servers (primarily in the US). Firebase implements Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) approved by the European Commission.
4. Retention and Account Deletion
We retain data as long as needed. If you delete your account: Firebase credentials and principal profiles are permanently erased. Booking history will be irreversibly anonymized for tax audit purposes.

You can exercise access, rectification, portability, and deletion rights by emailing privacy@paisatrips.com. PaisaTrips does not sell or share your personal data with third parties for commercial gain.
